Green-and-silver Cake

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare a good silver cake batter and reserve 1 cup.

  2. Mix the reserved batter with enough spinach juice to color it green.

  3. Add a little flour to compensate for the thinning from the juice.

  4. To make spinach juice, place washed spinach leaves in a boiler over boiling water.

  5. Cover and maintain a hard boil until the leaves are scalded and release their juices.

  6. Squeeze the mixture through a cloth and cool before using.
