Baked Veal Pie

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Boil the veal for 1 hour.

  2. Place the cooked meat in a deep dish.

  3. Wet the edge of the under crust with water and sprinkle with flour.

  4. Lay the upper crust on top and press the edges to seal.

  5. Prick the top of the pie several times with a fork.

  6. If you have leftover crust, cut it into leaves to decorate the pie.

  7. Bake for 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
