Ingredients

Directions

Prepare the fruit

  1. Cut the top off the pineapple, leaving the skin intact.

  2. Scoop out the inside of the pineapple to create a shell.

  3. Shred the scooped-out pineapple from the core.

  4. Cut the grapefruit in half and scoop out the pulp.

  5. Seed the white grapes.

Make the salad

  1. Mix the shredded pineapple, grapefruit pulp, and white grapes. Sweeten to taste.

  2. Add the Maraschino cherries, Maraschino liquor, sherry wine, and brandy to the fruit mixture.

  3. Fill the pineapple shell with the fruit mixture and cover tightly.

Chill and serve

  1. Place in a cool place until ready to serve.

  2. Before serving, tie a pretty bow of pink ribbon around the pineapple.
