Ingredients

Directions

  1. Heat 1 pound of clarified dripping in a saucepan over medium heat, being careful not to burn it.

  2. In a bowl, combine ½ pound of flour with salt and 3 ounces of clarified dripping.

  3. Rub the dripping into the flour until it resembles a fine powder.

  4. Add a little cold water and mix into a stiff paste.

  5. Flour a board and turn the paste out onto it.

  6. Open a tin of Australian meat and remove the fat from the portion you will use.

  7. Take ½ pound of meat from the tin and scrape off as much jelly as possible.

  8. Chop the meat as finely as possible or use minced meat.

  9. Rub a small bunch of dried herbs into a powder and sprinkle over the meat.

  10. Add a little pepper and salt to the meat mixture.
