Graham Biscuits
Ingredients
Directions
The book says “a hot oven”. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps is the modern equivalent, not the book's own figure.
Mix enough white flour with water to achieve a batter-like consistency.
Add graham flour until it can no longer be stirred with a spoon.
Cover and let the mixture sit overnight.
Grease a baking pan and flour your hands in the morning.
Take a lump of dough the size of a large egg and roll it lightly between your palms.
Let the biscuits rise for 20 minutes.
Bake in a moderately hot oven at 400°F (200°C) until golden.
Transcribed from a scanned cookbook and modernised for today's kitchens. Where the book gave no heat or time, or said "a moderate oven", the temperatures and times here may be modern equivalents rather than the book's own figures.
