What each ingredient does
- Oats
- Starch and soluble fiber release into the water, giving the liquid body and a thicker feel.
The step that matters
Carefully pour off the liquid. Settled oat sediment sits at the bottom of the bowl. Disturbing it while pouring sends fine particles into the liquid, making the strained result cloudy and gritty.
