Egg and Bread Crumbing

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Sift the bread or cracker crumbs.

  2. Dry spare pieces of bread or broken crackers in the oven.

  3. Pound and sift the dried bread or crackers, then store in a tin can.

  4. Beat the eggs in a bowl. If using for sweet dishes, add a little sugar.

  5. For savory dishes, season the eggs with salt and pepper, and add parsley if desired.

  6. Add ½ cup of milk for every 2 eggs, or use less for one egg intended for fish or cutlets.

  7. Set up one plate with the eggs and another with the bread crumbs.

  8. Roll the item in the crumbs, then in the egg, and back in the crumbs again.
