Canned Peaches

Ingredients

• 1 quart water
• fresh peaches

Directions

1. In a porcelain kettle, bring 1 quart of water to a boil.

2. Drop in enough peaches for one can and test for doneness with a silver fork.

3. Once tender, gently lift the peaches with a wire spoon and place them in a preheated glass can.

4. Pour hot syrup over the peaches until the can is full, then seal immediately.

5. Repeat the process with more peaches, keeping any extra in a separate can to stay hot.
