Rice Boiled for Curry

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Wash the rice well two or three times in cold water to remove the raw taste.

  2. Pick out discolored grains.

  3. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add a little salt.

  4. Add the rice and boil quickly until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  5. Do not let it boil into a pulpy mass; keep the grains separate.

  6. Drain the rice in a colander and rinse with cold water for a minute or two.
