Lime-water to Make

Ingredients

• 1 lb unslaked lime
• 5 to 6 pints spring water

Directions

1. Place 1 lb of unslaked lime in an earthen pot.

2. Slowly add a little spring water to the lime and stir with a stick.

3. Continue adding water gradually to prevent the lime from flying around.

4. After 3 to 4 hours, when the lime has settled, pour off the clear liquid.

5. Store the clear liquid in stoppered bottles away from light.
