Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix Wahoo bark, Elecampane root, Spikenard root, Tamarack bark, Mandrake root, and Blood-root in a container.

  2. Add alcohol and enough water to cover the mixture. Let it stand for 2 to 3 days.

  3. Pour off 1 quart of the liquid, then add more water and boil twice.

  4. Strain the two liquids and boil down to 3 pints.

  5. Once cool, add honey and the tincture of wine of ipecac. If cough is severe, double the ipecac dosage.

  6. Take 1 tablespoon 3 to 5 times daily.
