Ingredients

Directions

  1. Combine burdock, sarsaparilla, and spike-nard roots in a pot with 6 quarts of water.

  2. Boil the mixture until it reduces to 2 quarts.

  3. Strain the liquid and let it cool slightly.

  4. Add 1 pint of molasses (or ½ pound of sugar) and enough yeast to ferment.

  5. Once fermentation starts, drink freely until finished.

  6. Make a fresh batch daily until health improves.
