Ham Triangles

Oven, in the book's wordsA rather hot oven

Ingredients

Directions

The book says “a rather hot oven”. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps is the modern equivalent, not the book's own figure.

  1. Roll the biscuit crust thin and cut it into rounds or squares.

  2. Place a spoonful of minced ham or other meat on each piece, moistened slightly with stock or warm water.

  3. Wet the edges of the crust, fold, and press them closely together.

  4. Brush the tops with milk or a mixture of egg yolk and water.

  5. Bake in a hot oven at 400°F (200°C) until golden.

  6. Serve with a brown, cream, or tomato sauce.
