Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Thinly slice the beef steaks for broiling.

  2. Season the steaks with pepper and coarse sea salt.

  3. Place a little gravy in a pie dish.

  4. Add the seasoned beef steaks and top with more gravy.

  5. Cover the dish with the pastry.

  6. Bake for just over 1 hour at 350°F (175°C).
