Escalloped Corn

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a bowl, combine corn with coarse sea salt, black pepper, and butter.

  3. In a baking dish, layer corn and cracker crumbs alternately.

  4. In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix with enough milk to fill the dish.

  5. Pour the egg and milk mixture over the layered corn and crumbs.

  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until set.
