Shrimp Salad

Ingredients

Directions

Prepare

  1. Remove the shells from the shrimps and break them into small pieces. If using canned shrimps, prepare them the same way.

  2. Peel and dice the fresh cucumbers or use crisp celery if cucumbers are unavailable.

Assemble and serve

  1. In a dish, combine the shrimps, cucumbers, red bell pepper, salt, and vinegar; stir well.

  2. If desired, stir 2 tablespoons of oil with the vinegar before adding it to the salad.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a salad dish and top with mayonnaise dressing. Alternatively, use butter dressing or bottled salad dressing mixed with whipped cream.

  4. For variation, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of whole capers over the top after preparing the salad.

  5. Garnish with lettuce.
