Fritters and Waffles
Ingredients
Directions
Prepare a fritter batter using Royal Baking Powder.
For fruit fritters, make the batter thin; for plain fritters, make it thick enough to hold shape.
Heat the fat in a frying kettle until smoking hot.
Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot fat; they will sink initially.
As they cook, the fritters will rise to the surface; gently turn them until golden brown.
Cook for about five minutes, testing one to check doneness.
