What each ingredient does
- Coffee
- Provides the main flavor and aroma as boiling water extracts it from the grounds.
- Boiling water
- Extracts flavor and color from the coffee grounds during brewing.
The step that matters
Serve immediately; do not let the coffee stand.. Coffee left sitting over the grounds keeps extracting, which makes it progressively more bitter and less pleasant.
