How to Clean Lettuce, Etc

Ingredients

• best tender lettuce
• cold water
• cheesecloth

Directions

1. Cut off the roots and any coarse or discolored leaves from the lettuce.

2. Soak the lettuce in cold water for a short time to chill it.

3. Break off the leaves and shake them in a dry cloth or wire basket to remove moisture.

4. Wrap the leaves in cheesecloth and place them in a cool place until needed.
