Stuffed Deviled Crabs

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point. The book gives no cooking times either; the times in the steps were added in transcription, so check for doneness rather than trusting the clock.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Boil the crabs and remove the meat.

  3. Sauté chopped onion in butter until soft.

  4. Mix crab meat with sautéed onion, bread crumbs, mustard, salt, pepper, and paprika.

  5. Add milk to moisten the mixture.

  6. Stuff the crab shells with the mixture.

  7. Sprinkle with parsley and bake for 20 minutes.
