Baked Cabbage with Cheese

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Press and boil the cabbage until tender.

  2. Season the cabbage with coarse sea salt, black pepper, and butter.

  3. Layer the cabbage in a baking pan, sprinkling each layer with grated cheese.

  4. Top the final layer with more cheese and a mixture of bread crumbs.

  5. Sprinkle with butter and bake at 350°F (175°C) until golden.

  6. Serve warm.
