Ice Cream
Ingredients
Directions
Break the ice into small pieces and crush it in a strong canvas bag.
In a tub, layer ice and rock salt, starting with ice at the bottom.
Place the ice cream freezer in the tub and fill with alternating layers of ice and salt until full.
Stir the mixture until it is frozen, adjusting time based on your freezer type.
For moulds, fill them completely, seal tightly, and pack in ice and salt, covering entirely.
Cover with a piece of carpet to keep the air out and place in a cool location.
To serve, remove the mould, wipe it, pour boiling water over it, and quickly wipe again.
Remove the cover and turn the ice cream into a dish.
