What each ingredient does

Lemons
Supply the juice and fragrant oils from the rinds that flavour the wine.
Brandy
Extracts flavour from the rinds and adds alcohol that helps preserve the wine.
Loaf sugar
Sweetens the wine and balances the lemon's acidity.
White wine
Forms the base of the drink and adds body to the blend.
