To Crystalize Dried Grasses

  1. Pour the boiling water over the powdered alum in a large container.

  2. Add the dried grasses to the solution.

  3. Let the grasses remain in the solution until it cools and the alum crystallizes, about twelve hours.

  4. Do not move the grasses while crystallizing.
