Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Liver
Forms the main body of the dish and gives it its rich, meaty flavor.
Flour
Coats the slices so they brown in the pan and develop a crisp surface.
Pork
Supplies fat for frying the liver and adds browned flavor to the dish.

The step that matters

Frying the liver for 15 minutes. Liver turns dry and grainy when overcooked, so it should be fried until just cooked through and browned on the outside, and the pan should stay at a steady heat so the coating browns without burning.
