Melon Mangoes

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut a square piece out of one side of the melon and remove the seeds.

  2. Mix the seeds with mustard seeds and shredded garlic, then stuff the mixture back into the melon.

  3. Replace the square piece and bind it with pack thread.

  4. Boil vinegar with peppers, salt, and ginger, then pour it boiling-hot over the mangoes for four consecutive days.

  5. On the last day, add flour of mustard and scraped horseradish to the vinegar just before it boils.

  6. Ensure the mangoes are well covered with vinegar.
