Mutton Pie

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Cut steaks from a loin of mutton and remove some fat.

  2. Season the mutton with salt and pepper.

  3. Place a little water at the bottom of a baking dish.

  4. Cover the mutton with a thick pie crust.

  5. Bake in a 350°F (175°C) oven until cooked through.
