Stuffed Vegetable Marrow

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

Prepare

  1. Skin the vegetable marrow and cut a small piece out of the side.

  2. Gently remove the seeds with a teaspoon.

  3. Fill the cavity with force-meat and replace the piece you cut out.

Cook and serve

  1. Stew in a rich sauce or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 1 to 1.5 hours.

  2. Serve with white sauce mixed with plenty of lemon pickle.
