To Preserve Green Gooseberries
Ingredients
Directions
Gather green, hard, and dry gooseberries; top and tail them.
Place them in wide-mouthed bottles, cork, and seal.
Put straw in the bottom of a large pot, place bottles upright, and fill the pot with water up to the necks of the bottles.
Boil the water, then remove the bottles immediately.
Uncork the bottles and fill them with boiling water, then cork again.
Once cool, seal the bottles and store them on their sides in a cool, dry place.
Turn the bottles twice a week for a month.
