To Keep Currants

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut currants from the large stalks, leaving a small bit of stalk on each.

  2. Gather them when the weather is dry, preferably under the trees.

  3. Gently drop the currants into clean, dry bottles.

  4. Stop the bottles with corks and rosin.

  5. Place the bottles neck down in a trench in the garden, marking where each type of fruit begins.
