Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

Prepare

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Cut the haddocks into 2 or 3 pieces and season with onion, parsley, salt, and pepper.

  3. Make forcemeat balls with the small boiled haddock.

Assemble and bake

  1. Grease a dish with butter and add the fish and forcemeat balls.

  2. Pour in the white stock and white wine.

  3. Place puff pastry around the edge of the dish and cover with more pastry.

  4. Bake until the pastry is golden and cooked through.
