Broiled Rump-steak with Onion Gravy

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a quart saucepan, combine the sliced onions and water. Cover and cook on low heat until the water evaporates and the onions are slightly browned.

  2. Add the broth and cook until the onions are tender. Strain the broth and finely chop the onions.

  3. Season the chopped onions with mushroom ketchup, pepper, and salt. Cook gently for 5 minutes.

  4. Pour the onion mixture into a dish and place the broiled rump steak on top.
