Ground-rice Moulded

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Boil the rice until tender.

  2. Pound the boiled rice until smooth.

  3. Mould the rice into an oval or round block using a wooden spoon.

  4. Brush the moulded rice with vinegar.

  5. Color the rice in a 400°F (200°C) oven.

  6. For cold entrees, spread the block with fresh butter.
