Ingredients

Directions

  1. Slice the cold turkey thinly across the fiber and chop it coarsely.

  2. If desired, mix in chopped cold potatoes and small bits of cheese.

  3. Prepare gravy by simmering turkey bones in cold water for nearly an hour, then strain.

  4. Add any leftover roast gravy to the strained liquid, thicken with white flour, and bring to a boil.

  5. Cover the bottom of a bake-pan with dry bread crumbs, then layer half of the chopped turkey mixture.

  6. Add more bread crumbs, then the remaining turkey mixture.

  7. Pour the prepared gravy over the layers, ensuring everything is moist; add boiling water if needed.

  8. Top with fine bread crumbs mixed with a beaten egg and milk.
