Omelet Soufflé, Sweet

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a bowl, combine the milk and powdered sugar.

  3. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and gently fold them into the milk mixture.

  4. Pour the mixture into a buttered baking dish that is 5 to 6 inches deep.

  5. Bake in the oven until the soufflé rises and is golden brown.

  6. Serve immediately, dusted with additional powdered sugar if desired.
