Making Puff Paste

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Wrap the butter in the pastry dough, folding over the sides and ends to seal it completely.

  2. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin until it forms a long strip, about ¼ inch thick.

  3. Fold the dough into three layers and give it a turn.

  4. Roll it out again and fold as before to make another turn.

  5. Repeat this process for a total of six turns, cooling the dough for ten minutes between each turn.
