Turn-over Puffs
Ingredients
Directions
The book says “a moderate oven”. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps is the modern equivalent, not the book's own figure.
Roll out the puff paste to a thickness of ¼ inch.
Cut the paste into round or square pieces using a cutter or knife.
Place a small amount of jam in the center of each piece.
Fold the pieces over and press down the edges to seal them.
Ice the puffs as directed for Coventry's.
Bake in a moderate oven at 350°F (175°C) on a clean baking sheet.
Transcribed from a scanned cookbook and modernised for today's kitchens. Where the book gave no heat or time, or said "a moderate oven", the temperatures and times here may be modern equivalents rather than the book's own figures.
