Rose, Lemon, or Any Other Pipe

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Make a paste using gum water and your chosen flavourings.

  2. Spread the paste on a marble slab to about ¼ inch thick.

  3. Cut the paste into lengths and lay them on a smooth stone.

  4. Roll the lengths with a flat board until they are round like a pipe.

  5. Place them on clean paper and dry them in a 350°F (175°C) oven.

  6. Color the gum water if desired.
