Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Beat the butter to a cream, gradually adding the sifted sugar and beating together.

  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff, then mix in the yolks and beat the whole mixture for 10 minutes.

  3. Gradually mix in the grated nutmegs and flour with the other ingredients.

  4. When the oven is ready at 400°F (200°C), fold in the carraway seeds.
