Fruit Puffs
Ingredients
Directions
The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.
Roll out puff pastry to ¼ inch thick and cut into squares.
Place a small amount of raspberry jam or other preserved fruit on each square.
Fold the pastry over diagonally, dampen one edge, and press the edges together.
Place on parchment paper on a baking sheet, ice them, and bake.
Bake at 400°F (200°C) until golden.
Transcribed from a scanned cookbook and modernised for today's kitchens. Where the book gave no heat or time, or said "a moderate oven", the temperatures and times here may be modern equivalents rather than the book's own figures.
