What each ingredient does

Raspberries (in the method)
Provide the fruit flavour and aroma that define the wine.
Lump sugar
Feeds the yeast during fermentation and sets the wine's sweetness and alcohol level.
Brandy
Added to each bottle to fortify the wine and help preserve it.
