What each ingredient does

Honey
Provides the fermentable sugar that the yeast converts into alcohol.
Yeast
Ferments the sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide, driving the whole fermentation.
Ground malt
Adds enzymes and extra fermentable sugars to help the fermentation along.
