Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Oysters
Form the main filling of the sausages, giving the dish its characteristic flavor.
Bread crumbs
Absorb moisture and bind the mixture, while forming a coating that browns when broiled.
Beef suet
Adds fat that keeps the sausages moist and tender during cooking.
Eggs
Bind the coating so the bread crumbs adhere to the oysters.

The step that matters

Broil gently until lightly colored. Gentle heat cooks the oysters and suet through and lightly browns the crumb coating without drying the sausages out or scorching the crumbs.
