  1. Heat water to 182°F (83°C).

  2. Add malt to the water.

  3. Mix well with a mashing stick for at least 20 minutes.

  4. Cover the mash-tub and let it sit for 1.5 hours to subside.

  5. Draw off the clear wort into a container.
