Health Coffee

Oven, in the book's wordsA slow oven

Ingredients

Directions

The book says “a slow oven”. The 300°F (150°C) in the steps is the modern equivalent, not the book's own figure.

  1. Soak the whole barley in enough water to cover it for 24 hours.

  2. Keep the soaked barley in a warm place.

  3. Dry the barley by slowly heating it.

  4. Brown the dried barley in a 300°F (150°C) oven, stirring occasionally.

  5. Prepare and serve as you would Wisdom coffee.
