Tartlets

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

Prepare

  1. Roll out the pastry dough thinly and cut it into rounds using a fluted cutter.

  2. Place each round into a tartlet pan and press it down with your finger.

  3. Add a small piece of bread crust or a little jam in the center of each tartlet.

Bake and finish

  1. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) until lightly colored.

  2. After baking, add more jam if desired and sift fine sugar over the tartlets.
