Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Oil
Carries flavour and keeps the chicken moist and tender.
Vinegar
Adds acidity that brightens the flavour of the chicken.
Salad dressing
Adds moisture and richness to coat the chicken.

The step that matters

Marinate the chicken for an hour, turning often. Marinating lets the acid and oil slowly penetrate the meat, seasoning it through. Turning keeps every side evenly coated so the flavour is consistent rather than patchy on the surface.
