Ingredients
Directions
Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl.
Crumble the yeast into a small jar, add the sugar, and cover with warm water. Let it rise in a warm place until frothy.
Stir the yeast mixture and pour it into the center of the flour.
Add about 1 pint of warm water and mix until smooth, adding more water if needed.
Sprinkle a little flour on your hands and the sides of the bowl. Knead the dough until smooth and it no longer sticks to your hands.
Turn the dough over in the bowl with the smooth side up, sprinkle a little flour around the sides, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 2 hours.
