Toasted Cheese with Onions

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel and halve the onions.

  2. Boil the onions briefly, changing the water once.

  3. Chop the boiled onions and place them in an oven-safe dish.

  4. Add pepper, salt, and butter to the onions, cover, and stew until tender.

  5. Spread the cooked onions on a dish and cover with thin slices of toasting cheese, removing the crust.

  6. Toast the cheese quickly until melted and serve hot.
