Mince-Pies

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the filling at least a week before baking to allow flavors to meld.

  2. Combine boiled and chopped meat, crumbed suet, stoned raisins, washed sultanas, washed currants, shredded citron, minced apples, sugar, and spices in a bowl.

  3. Pour in the liquor and mix thoroughly.

  4. Make the pie crust using the best ingredients available.

  5. Fill the pie shells generously with the mixture and create a criss-cross pattern on top with the crust.
